Thought provoking questions you have asked too Olamide. In my opinion, I would rather expose my child and be an ever present guide to him/her as they discover their bodies than be mute or coded about it and risk have them eventually discover the vulgarity from a stranger or anyone other than me. That will be hurting

Personally, I thinking a lot of ’adulting’ effects is rubbing on this young ones and hence, stealing the joy of childhood. However, this is not to undermine the importance of guidance and counseling and reorientation of parents on right parenting

Such a sensitive matter arising, I must confess! And such a brilliant discourse analysis from both sides. This is such a thought-provoking conversation. But I have the following observations to raise: 1. In the process of educating a ’child’ (not a teenager) by being ’direct’ in naming their private parts, how is the case of ’vulgarity’ dealt with? 2. To what extent can we say the earlier the exposure, the earlier the need for education? (vice versa)
